Quinn Legal presents at the Insurance Institute Conference

Quinn Legal are proud to have sponsored and presented at the Insurance Institute Conference recently with our business perspective on directors being held to account, and the use of directors and officers liability insurance (otherwise known as D&O Cover) in the claims against directors.

The Insurance Institute of the Isle of Man held this year’s Regulatory Conference at the Manx Museum on Monday 12th November. The conference was opened by Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK followed by keynote speaker, Jim Mellon; visionary entrepreneur, serial investor and island resident.

The conference was extremely well attended, and the topic of discussion from Quinn Legal’s Stephen Savage and Peter Cannell certainly had a lot of people thinking about the statutory duties of a director and company officers.

Stephen Savage, Head of Business at Quinn Legal Advocates said “Our presentation was designed to be thought provoking, providing a level of audience participation which went down well, but we also wanted to encourage further discussion afterwards – there were certainly a few conversations going on well after the conference had finished!”

Stephen went on to say “The whole conference was a tremendous success and everyone was engaged, and we have certainly received some great feedback from those we spoke to saying that the presentation was very good, clear concise and informative. We were delighted to be able to support the Insurance Institute Conference, which certainly delivered on its promises of being a very popular and informative event.”
